What you’ll do at Ather:

You will be involved in driving or supporting programs and interventions targeted at the full employee life cycle starting from outreach activities to attract and develop the right talent pool, recruitment to hire only the best talent, on-boarding to ensure quick assimilation, training for continuous capability building, a performance management system focused on frequent & quality conversations, a parting experience to match the onboarding experience, and building a cultural fabric that stitches all these interventions together.

This role requires you to work closely with the other teams in POPS* and the heads or experts across all the verticals at Ather. So we are looking to ally with an experienced learning and development manager to help devise our organizational training strategy, oversee its implementation, and assess its outcomes. You will also identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable learning initiatives that will help build org-wide capability for current/ future roles.

Here’s  a look at the details of what goes into this role:

● Building functional capability

○ Program manage the capability building for the prioritized competencies based on the 70-20-10 learning model

○ Design & deliver product, process, tools and behavioral training for all front-line roles in the Business & Operations functions

○ Support the ramp plan for new city launches by arranging for and conducting on-site new-hire/ refresher/ remedial training

○ Evaluate individual and group level performance of all customer facing teams to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance

○ Act as SME in instructional design projects commissioned to develop new hire/ refresher/ remedial curriculum


● Building leadership capability

○ Support with developing and driving the Leadership Development Framework to identify behavioral competencies for each leadership cohort

○ Design & deliver meaningful programs and interventions based on the 70-20-10 model (internally or through external partners) to address the identified competencies

○ Actively engage with senior management to identify behavioral training needs or areas that require additional support

○ Continually evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions and propose preventive and corrective actions

○ Lead the development and execution of critical talent, performance enhancement, and succession planning frameworks

● Vendor/ Partner management

○ Evaluate, negotiate and identify appropriate partners for training design, delivery, assessment and learning platforms when required

○ Manage the relationship with the identified partners and hold them accountable to our quality standards and SLAs

○ Establish industry and academic tie-ups  for mutually beneficial partnerships

● Driving a Learning Culture

○ Identify and develop a pool of  internal experts in all critical competency areas

○ Keep the competency framework updated to reflect the business and functional priorities

○ Support the capturing and building of meaningful analytics to track effectiveness, efficiency and impact of all learning interventions

○ Set up an LMS. Then sustain, build and track programs on the LMS platform

○ Facilitate informal adult learning experiences across the organization

● Building Process Maturity

○ Develop measures to continually evaluate talent Management processes and systems for relevance, efficiency and most importantly a great employee experience

○ Drive, sustain, and deliver best-in-class new employee orientation and separation experience

○ Use technology to augment the learning experience


Here’s what we are looking for:

● Masters degree in HR/ Humanities subjects

● 6 to 10 years experience in talent management, L&D, OD, and performance management

● Hands-on experience in designing, delivering and managing technical, functional, and behavioral capability building across levels using the 70-20-10 model

● Experience of applying adult learning principles in the design of learning interventions

● Experience of managing a team of trainers

● Working knowledge of training KPIs, learner feedback mechanisms & training strategies for a diverse employee population
