What you’ll do at Ather:

  • Drive focus on design thinking and design language

  • Guide the team in successful conceptualization and implementation of key product differentiators through effective benchmarking

  • Demonstrate agility while managing technical and execution risks in situations demanding rapid, dynamic changes

  • Lead compliance with Quality Systems requirements and represent the team in QS audits

  • Demonstrate continual improvement of departmental procedures in line with the requirements of the corporate QS standards

  • Process Development & Continual Improvement, Compliance to HW Development Process, Design Standards, Predictive design practices

  • Elimination of Technical execution ambiguities/risks thru reuse of design templates and guidelines

  • Cultivate a collaborative culture in the team while staying committed to business results and deliverables

  • Demonstrate compliance with corporate values and ideologies

  • Evaluate and update technical and soft skills of the team

  • Manage the competency matrix for team members

  • Meet high levels of employee engagement and low attrition in the team

  • Coach and mentor employees to achieve career aspirations



Here’s what we are looking for: 

  • 10+ years’ experience in leading and managing a team of experts in the design and development of products in the power electronics domain along with hands-on design and development of AC-DC/DC-DC converters/motor drives/inverters.

  • Expertise in debugging, and troubleshooting of converters/inverters/drives

  • Expertise in testing converters/inverters/drives

  • Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, AFMEA DFM, DFA, DFC, DFR, DFS

  • Expertise in power electronics product specifications, power electronics design and analysis 

  • Expertise in converters/inverters/drive design and analysis 

  • Knowledge of design and analysis of High-Frequency Magnetics

  • Knowledge of semiconductor device characteristics – MOSFETs, IGBTs, thyristors, rectifiers

  • Experience in power management ICs (gate drivers, PWM controllers, LDOs, switching regulators, LED drivers)
